\"Poker\" <\/p>\n

Poker is a card game that involves betting. It is primarily a game of chance, but it can also involve some psychology and skill. Depending on the rules, poker can be played with two or more players. The object of the game is to win the “pot,” which is the total of all the bets placed during a single deal. This may be accomplished by having the highest-ranking poker hand, or by making a bet that no other player calls.<\/p>\n

Each player buys in for a specific amount of chips, which represent money. This amount is called the ante, blind, or bring-ins, depending on the game. After the antes and blinds have been placed, the cards are dealt. During each betting interval, the player to the left of the dealer (the button) can either call a bet (“call”) by putting in the same amount of chips as the previous player; raise a bet (“raise”) by adding more money to the pot; or fold (\u201cdrop\u201d) their hand and leave the table for that deal.<\/p>\n

A hand of five cards can contain any combination of the following: a full house (3 matching cards of one rank, plus 2 matching cards of another rank; a straight (5 consecutive cards of the same suit; and a pair (2 cards of the same rank). In poker, it is common to see bluffs and other forms of deception used in an attempt to win a hand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
